Siri not working on iOS 10.0.1 Iphone 6

Mine has had the same issues for about a month now, I thought maybe my speakers weren’t working so it wasn’t picking up my voice but they’re working fine there’s some glitch in the system it seems. Apple needs to resolve or this will be the last iPhone I own

bcapoccia, wondering what Apple did re: your next appointment. I have an older 6, purchased in April 2015 and have the same issue. After spending hours on it yesterday - including with Apple Care - and a long drive to the closest Apple store today, there's no fix for mine. (They offered to let me pay to install a new mic and/or board). That's good money after bad to me.

The issue continues. I chatted with tech support and they had me do everything you did. They tried to get me to restore my phone completely but I refuse. Way too risky an action to fix a problem with their update. They really need to fix their update.

Again, no issue here with all my iPhones (5s, 6, 6s, 6s Plus & 7)

Make sure you have Internet connection through Wi-Fi or cellular data (speak with your cellular provider)

So, when you press the Home button down nothing occurs?

I have a cellular connection and I have Wi-Fi. I wish I had the same result as you.

Can you access the Internet?

Cellular connection for phone call is not the same as using cellular data to surf the Internet.

Wi-Fi can be local networking, important is whether you can access the Internet via Wi-Fi.

Siri needs Internet connection. (Note: Not all countries are supported).

Summon Siri. Press and hold the Home button, release the button, then make your request. Or, instead of waiting for Siri to notice that you’ve stopped talking, continue to hold down the Home button while you speak, then release it when you finish.

Make a genius bar appointment for an evaluation.

I have the EXACT same issue with my brand new iPhone 7 plus running iOS 10.0.2 - Siri works on my bluetooth headset, but not from the phone directly. I don't get it - did you find a solution?

Tried hard reset, turning siri on/off, reset network settings etc. - made no difference.

This sounds crazy but try the old Nintendo 64 blow-on-it trick. The Siri mic is located next to the front facing camera, try blowing into the ear speaker/mic next to the front camera and see if that fixes your problem, it worked for me!
